We are a family, and families enjoy getting together for some fun. We are grateful to share special moments together and create new memories.
Our RLS family is part of the larger Family of Christ. Our school is all about Jesus and His love for us, His people. Looking for opportunities to share our blessings is a way of life for God's people, and with the devastation that has faced so much of our country, there are plenty of ways we can help.
For the month of September we will be collecting money for Luther South Academy, a high school in Houston that had more than 4 feet of water in its building. Soon, other regions of the USA will need assistance and we will be ready to serve. Please keep these brothers and sisters in Christ in your prayers. It is easy to lose hope in times of chaos, when it seems you've lost everything. Take a moment to consider how you would feel if you were in their shoes. What would you want people to pray for? How would you want people to help? What could someone say to make you feel better?
Thankfully, we are not in their shoes, we are dry, comfortable, and able to reach out an offer what we have be given, sharing it with others in need. Let's give generously to our friends, and bring Jesus to them.
